Poster Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Poster Terms

By posting a bounty on bounty.quest, you accept and agree to be bound by these Poster Terms of Service in addition to our general Terms of Service. These terms are specifically designed to govern the relationship between bounty posters and the platform.

2. Poster Responsibilities

As a bounty poster, you agree to:

• Provide clear, accurate, and detailed descriptions of your bounty requirements
• Set realistic deadlines and reward amounts appropriate for the work
• Review submissions in a timely manner
• Communicate with hunters exclusively through the platform's designated communication tools
• Not request work that violates laws or platform policies
• Not attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment systems

3. Payment and Funding

You understand and agree that:

• Bounties must be funded before they become active
• There are no additional fees for funding your bounty - we absorb all Stripe processing fees
• The platform fee of 15% is deducted from the hunter's withdrawal, not from your payment
• You pay exactly the amount you set as the bounty reward, with no hidden fees
• Funds are held securely until a submission is approved
• Refunds are processed differently based on submission status:
  • For bounties with no submissions: Full refunds are available through a simple self-service process
  • For bounties with submissions: Refunds require review through our support team to ensure fair treatment of hunters
• Payment disputes will be handled according to our dispute resolution process

For example, if you set a bounty reward of $100, you will pay exactly $100. The hunter will receive $85 after the platform fee is deducted from their withdrawal. We cover all payment processing fees to ensure transparency and simplicity in the funding process.

4. Bounty Guidelines

All bounties must:

• Have clear, specific success requirements
• Be legal and comply with platform policies
• Not request work that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Not contain discriminatory or harmful content
• Have reasonable deadlines and reward amounts
• Include all necessary information for hunters to complete the work

5. Submission Review

As a bounty poster, you have the right and responsibility to:

• Review all submissions thoroughly and fairly
• Accept or reject submissions based on the stated requirements
• Request clarification or modifications from hunters
• Select the winning submission that best meets your requirements
• Provide constructive feedback on rejected submissions

You acknowledge that you have complete discretion in selecting winning submissions, but agree to exercise this discretion fairly and in accordance with the stated requirements of your bounty.

6. Communication and Conduct

All communication with hunters must occur through the platform's designated communication tools and channels. You agree to:

• Respond to reasonable requests for clarification in a timely manner
• Maintain respectful communication
• Not share personal contact information with hunters
• Not attempt to communicate with hunters outside the platform
• Report any inappropriate behavior or policy violations

7. Intellectual Property

You understand that:

• Hunters retain ownership of their work until payment is made
• Upon payment, you receive the usage rights as specified in your bounty
• You must respect intellectual property rights of hunters
• You are responsible for ensuring your bounty requirements don't infringe on others' rights

8. Prohibited Activities

As a poster, you may not:

• Post bounties requesting illegal or harmful work
• Attempt to communicate with hunters outside the platform
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment systems
• Discriminate against hunters based on protected characteristics
• Request work that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Engage in any form of manipulation or fraudulent activity

9. Account Standing

Maintaining good standing as a poster requires fair treatment of hunters, timely communication, and adherence to these terms. Violations may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent account suspension depending on severity.

10. Changes to Poster Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Poster Terms of Service at any time. Posters will be notified of significant changes, and continued posting of bounties constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Dispute Resolution
